Kevin: Are you taking your bike apart for a specific reason for a needed repair that you know how to perform? If not, then it might be a better idea to preserve the reliability of your Savage by leaving things alone, rather than jumping into "improving performance" until you know exactly how to go about it. If you feel you need better performance, then get a HD V-ROD or a Hayabusa! The Savage was never designed to be a "performance" bike, and everything changed to increase performance is done at some cost to reliability. Ride your Suzuki LS650 Savage Motorcycle in good health, for you AND the bike!
